Nissan5300, nice to see literary Irish men being quoted here. Irish writers have won more Nobel Prizes for Literature than writers from any other country.

    I just read it today
    "Obstacle is the path"
Pretty short and simple yet means a lot.

ahhahahh :D This has reminded me of another quote about computers:
"IN THE WORLD WITHOUT WALLS AND FENCES, WHO NEEDS GATES AND WINDOWS? ":D Have come across it on some Linux forum.

"It was hard to decide now if Aunt Carole had been a monster or a hero, but perhaps she had done what she thought best." /Danielle Steel 'Leap of Faith'/

‘Do you take me for a fool? Do you think me an utter fool?’
‘I don’t think, sir,’ he said, ‘that that’s a fair question to put on me.’
    /James Joyce - 'Counterparts' from collection 'Dubliners'/

I have some, though they are nerdy :)
"Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
    Through passion, I gain strength.
    Through strength, I gain power.
    Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me. "

Of course, the ultimate answer to the life, universe and everything:
    "42"

    And my teacher's quote:
"They (the government) should shoot us... Or at least increase our monthly payment..."

I literally have file after file on my computer with quotes (I collect them). What topic are you wanting it on? If you go to my Yahoo Answers Profile, you can send me an email there. If you send me the topic, I'll pick some quotes out and send them to you. There's just no way I can narrow it down without a subject! I have too many favorites.

#1 Old men are fond of giving good advice, to console themselves for being no longer in a position to give bad examples.

#2 I'd like to meet a guy named Art. I'd take him to a museum, hang him on the wall, criticize him and leave.

#3 I consider conversations with people to be mind exercises. But I don't want to pull a muscle, so I stretch a lot. That's why I'm constantly either rolling my eyes or yawning.

    hi

    Quote
According to me many problems in our life arise due to worrying about tomorrows problem. Our day should be free of other stresses and worries. An analysis of a bad event that has happened, or may happen, can be worthwhile in determining a course of action. Beyond that, to continue worrying about it is a completely useless waste of time and is harmful to our health. Worry does not help the future experience and could make it worse, and the past cannot be changed.

That's a great quote Kay and there is a lesson in there for us all. In a very similar vain, I remember reading somewhere that generosity is not dependent on wealth and that poor people who are generous by nature still find ways to give to others. That will be stuck in my head for a few days now as I try to remember where I read it.

Fergal it is what the Borg say before assimilating people.

Be a nice thing to say before accepting people into your forums.
