    None of them. If you want emails to work you need to take time to craft the messages, plan the campaign and ensure you have a targeted list. Ideally a set of warm leads.

    Genuine database indicates email marketing success. Due to lack of genuine database the chance of open rate goes to decrease, that's why people says email marketing not effectively works.

    Email marketing stays effective as long as it interesting and not annoying for users. Make original creative letters, suggest discounts, start a game among followers - do all possibles to attract attention to your service or product. It's essential HOW EXACTLY did you collect each email. No one likes spam and ads post. IMy personal experience how to get "warm emails" - using game popup/exit intent popup.     1. Build your email list (Double opt-in)
    2. Keep your email database in a hygienic state (Meaning removing all kind of harmful emails periodically)
    3. Write clickable/openable subject lines
    4. Stay away from spam triggering words
    5. Follow text to image ratio
    6. Provide value to your email recipients with a clear call to actions
    7. Keep an eye on engagement and unsubscribe rates
    8. Remove inactive subscribers (People who don't take any action after receiving your email)
    9. Segment your subscribers base on their past action
    10. Lastly, send out emails on the right time

    d) encourge readers to reply

    This is nice and I also agree that email marketing is one of the best options to get connected with potential audience but you have to plan the strategy very carefully and target potential people only. I am using Slack sms app as well for the bulk sms marketing campaigns and getting awesome results.
