    How were the links generated?

If it's something you did yourself it may already be too late. If they were auto generated by some bot then ignore them (Google already does).

If you want to disavow some website links, you’ll create a file containing only the links you want to disavow and upload this to Google. Google's link disavowal tool allows publishers to tell Google that they don't want certain links from external sites to be considered as part of Google's system of counting links to rank web sites.

@alexson - you can do this but it will result in a manual review and many have discovered their ranking gets worse because the reviewer finds all sorts of iffy linkbuilding. Only use the disavow tool if your SEO is squeeky clean.

Indeed, but as he says - you really need to be sure your ranking is being affected by the links. In many case they will already be ignored. And Google likes to see evidence you have already made an effort to clean up your links.

If you want to remove links from your website then you have first of all go to google webmaster and download the link file as a csv or xlsx (include with all links). then you have to check manually all links and make a decision from your own side.
