Backlinks, also known as incoming links, inbound links, inlinks, and inward links, are incoming links to a website or web page. Backlinks were originally important as a primary means of web navigation; today, their significance lies in search engine optimization . The number of backlinks is one indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page.

How to we create quality backlinks?
To be on the safe side, most SEOs would advise you to stop doing anything to get links. If you’re doing business online, I think that’s the worst advice you could ever get. Instead you need to learn how to build links the right way.

I discussed about backlinks and it's importance above, not it's perfect time to tell you about some backlink building strategy used by todays experts.

    So lets get started…
    • Getting Listed in Directories
    • Ask for Blogger Reviews
    • Give Testimonials
    • Link Reclamation
    • Submit Your Site to Website Feedback Sites
    • Submit Your Site to Aggregators
    • Broken Link Building
    • Infographics
    • Social Sharing

    • Getting Listed in Directories - pointless
    • Ask for Blogger Reviews - overused and no longer effective
    • Give Testimonials - adds little value
    • Link Reclamation - almost pointless
    • Submit Your Site to Website Feedback Sites - pointless
    • Submit Your Site to Aggregators - never ever do this
    • Broken Link Building - almost pointless
    • Infographics - overused and no longer effective
    • Social Sharing - pointless
If you want to rank well focus on your website. Get it right and you don't need to do much link building.
