I started my job a few days back, and next week I have to give a presentation in front of my Team lead. I am a bit worried about what features my presentation should have and whatnot.

    Thanks.

Are you sure about that? Your other post suggest something different.

Yes, Presentation design and creating presentation content is both my business and job. I regularly have to tackle with new presentation challenges. The main problem, is we as a team we are just in planning to streamline use of presentation at VizInspire so we will communicate new ideas within our team in less time. I don't want to go ahead with useless meeting presentations that waste time rather than add value... So, main goal this time to put together my business research and goals so that I can better pitch right ideas in front my team...

    It's about just getting deep

Depends on the presentation. If you are pitching ideas you don't need to go deep. If you are updating a project manager you just need to show the gantt chart. If you training a new member of staff you just need bullet points and staff handbook.

What you don't need is a bunch of Powepoint slides.

If your presentation is informative and descriptive that satisfies your customer's query. Your presentation is a point to point. Explain your idea and logic through images and graphs.

Don't add too much information in slides, keep it simple and informative. Try to use images with bullet point so you can explain it easily and can question them as well.

Or better still, don’t have a presentation at all. You don’t need one.

A good presentation provides an opportunity to:
    • Communicate the message in an interesting, succinct, and clear way
    • Represent your products/services more clearly in front of the audience
    • Provides a framework for communicating information about products or services in a structured way with the help of visual media
    • Engage the audience and convince them to take action immediately
    • Leave a good impression on the audience
