Mybusinez.com loads in 0.09 seconds according to iwebtool. Yaaaaaay!
I believe it's not actually site speed, It's more over Web hosting server uptime speed. However, you need to be clever keeping your homepage very light to load at optimum speed.
My website result is: 13.81 KB 0.51 seconds 0.04 seconds. So so...
Phewh.. I can't believe that my sbox site is slower than BAF and your site Geki combined :|
I made some changes and looks like the stats defers now
my site loads at 1.04 seconds! I compared with my competition and thats pretty good. We're in the same bracket in this aspect!
I'm quite surprised at those results wussa, your site always loads quite quickly for me. Are you aware of anything on your site, that might be slowing it down?
Like Fergal says, the site opens pretty fast on my side.
The animated ad might be the cause.
Mine is: 14.07 KB 0.48 seconds 0.03 seconds. It's quite ok if I compare it to my competitors
That sounds good. Can you share your site's URL?
I'm at 1.78 seconds according to that website, which is higher than what most people seem to be getting. It must have to do with the amount of photos on my site.
Photos will slow down your site's loading speed, however 1.78 seconds is still quick. You might want to reduce the file size of the photos on your site - Google's free Picasa tool could help you with that. Alternatively you could add thumbnails to your site, that enlarge upon click or mouse-over.
You can convert the file format of your images to a better file format depending on the images you have. For photos use JPG, for other small graphics you can use PNG or GIF. Each format have its strength and weaknesses so you need to choose wisely.
You can read this article to help you decide: http://www.websiteoptimization.com/speed/tweak/format/
Thank you for the tips. Now I know my website loading speed.
We've got an average of 0.02 seconds for 28.3 KB in 0.53 seconds.
I think the downloading varies and depends on each domain's content and/or the bandwidth speed you're using.
