    Well i think if you are looking for short term gain then PPC is best for you BUT (and it's a big but) for longer term SEO is the foremost choice. Here's a explanation:

    SEO is organic or natural lead generation in which we build various quality links. Also it includes optimizing the web pages of website, Both these are done to enhance the position of website in search results.

    PPC is Pay per Click or in easier term it is defined as buying the clicks from search engines like google, bing etc. It allows you to quickly rank your website by paying a certain amount. But it is only for time until your bidding amount for a keyword is finished.

    Definately, SEO for long term. You could concentrate on your target audience, target keywords and backlinks. ofcourse make sure your content is well worth for the Google Algorithm to rank for.
    PPC - Pay Per Click is basically for a short term Conversion.
    Eventually, it depends upon your Goal. Long term or Short Term Plan

    Why not both?
    PPC is for quick actions and SEO is for long term solutions.
    I personally think that in many cases there are different target audience in these marketing channels.
    For example, Ads are for people who are looking for some information here and now or for people, who don't understand that it is PPC. :)

    SEO if for the audience which is looking for more information, these people have more time to spend.

    The best thing is to use both SEO and PPC and then you will reach all target audience.

    If a company doesn't want to use both, I usually advise them to choose them both at the beginning. Like hikebranding said, you can use PPC until you will be happy with SEO results.

    We use both. A well managed ppc campaign is great for fast results, and SEO is good for long term. I would say if you need clients immediately ppc would be a good choice, but if you can wait longer to see results SEO would be good. I don't favor one over the other, it just depends on your business goals.

    SEO is most important but PPC is also important for businesses nowadays.

    PPC is the paid results, it is but obvious that you are not going to spend tons of money to run campaigns for ages. SEO is the obvious long term solution. SEO will take some time and effort over PPC but it worth it for long term perspective.

    If you want to drive traffic to your website and ready to spend some pennies then you should prefer PPC. It provides quick but short term results paid results/traffic. If you want to gain long term organic traffic for your website then you should prefer SEO wiz. Search Engine Optimisation. Its free but takes time in getting the results for website.

    There are people that skip right over ads when they search. If you want to market to those type of people SEO is your only choice. Other people are clueless about ads and will click on the first line item they see and so PPC will get you to those individuals. Two tools with two different results. Both have their place.

    PPC will cost you when it will go live, until you stop it. while if you done seo properly it will give you benefits for long time. when back links died it will decrease your ranking . more back links for free you can get benefits.
