Please see links to two large Irish accountancy software packages below. However, I would definitely recommend having a closer look at the open source links provided by pendelton.
i would recommend that you try Tally (www.tallysolutions.com)
this is one of the best accounting solutions providing software with good services after sale! once you use it, there won't be a need for other softwares!
if you require freewares (free softwares) only, please specify!
Tally is your best bet, IMO
This isn't specifically for accounting, however it is a great invoicing tool.
It can pretty much handle all of your income from an accounting perspective. Plus it is an excellent way to put all your customer billing on autopilot. I wrote an article about the advantages of using Freshbooks here:
most people in India use tally and it is easy to learn also. Tally has some of the best features.
i am using the accouting software of this company cbsnw a contractor business solution company..this software work very efficiently and provide a great help in managing and controlling the cost and the project..
Few invoicing tools that may be useful: LessAccounting, BlinkSale, FreshBooks. Otherwise, would say any advice you need, I would say take a read of SJD Accountancy's "Accounting for Freelancers" guide as they are super helpful.
QuickBooks and Sage are popular and easy to use accounting software. While there is a version of QuickBooks for all businesses, the standard version also can easily be adapted to the needs and also costs less.
I hope this helps.
There are so many online software which can easily fulfill your requirements; otherwise we can build a custom software according to your requirement.
I used to use Quickbooks from Intuit. I hated the company the entire time I used the product. They are less than easy to work with and gouge you. I used them for more than 8 years. I finally had enough and changed to Zoho. The product does everything I need. Haven't found anything missing compared with Quickbooks. It is much easier to use. They have online chat support that is available 24/7. They cost a lot less than Quickbooks. Really love them.
I thought I'd explore this, if Indians are using it it must be cheap. Well I had a look and I can see they practice disciminatory pricing. Quite cheap in India, but if you're using it elsewhere it's 4-5 times more expensive.
What is the use case of the accounting software that you want?
Is it for personal use or for professional use?
Should it be free, cheap, or easy?
Any name that is present in your mind already?

You can use Invoicera for accounting and invoicing purposes. It is a great tool for freelancers that can help you in time tracking, project management and online invoicing .
We use Sage Payroll for all our accounting needs. I know it has been mentioned on here previously but we find it really useful and it's available worldwide so perfect for you and your business.
I am using QuickBooks Online and Xero. Both are free. There is a lot of training material available. There are sample companies also available on both Softwares. Both are cloud base. So you don't have to pay for anything.
There are a variety of different accounting software programs on the market, but QuickBooks is often seen as the best option for freelancers. It is easy to use and has many features that can help you manage your finances. QuickBooks can track your expenses, income, and invoices. It also allows you to create budgets and projections.
If you are looking for more advanced accounting software, then you may want to consider Xero. Xero is designed for businesses of all sizes. It offers features such as invoicing, tracking expenses and income, reconciling bank accounts, and creating reports.
Both QuickBooks and Xero are great options for freelancers. Choose the one that fits your needs and budget.
