I like both, because Laptops are portable and easy to take them with you. While Desktops can be upgraded easily!

I generally prefer laptops, they are portable and occupy lesser space than desktops.

if I'm doing some heavy duty link building or a lot of graphic work or programming, go for desktop.
If I want to use different ip's or sit in nicer or different places and maybe read or watch videos, i like a laptop.

For the official use desktop is better than laptop but for personal use laptop is better, and because of portability we can take laptop with us where we go.

I use a laptop computer mostly for portability reasons. I don't have a place I can keep a desktop.

Laptop for me. I haven't used a desktop in a few months now and I don't think I'd ever want to use one again. Laptops are excellent for me because they're portable and where I go, it can go with me... It's an awesome technological innovation. :D

I prefer a desktop because I'd probably drop a laptop. Plus I have no reason to have a computer on the go. :p
My phone can do forums and facebook and whatnot.

I've always been a desktop owner for years and then I got my first laptop two years ago. I love the laptop because of its portability but I have never liked any laptop keyboard and mouse. So what I do is connect my laptop to a bigger desktop monitor, external mouse as well as desktop keyboard when I'm at home.

I prefer laptops as they are portable and wireless. They make a lot less mess.

LOL. It's just like having a desktop with your laptop acting as a CPU.

Exactly! When I was in corporate life, one company actually had entire systems like this where there was some type of bracket that you put your laptop into and it automatically connects to the rest of the 'desktop' system. So I kind of copied that at home except I don't have a bracket. I just place my laptop on the far corner of my desk and plug in the monitor, speakers, mouse, power and keyboard.

Well, that would be an awesome set-up if one will watch an HD movie.

For me, laptop is for personal use only like if you're a student or if own a small business only. However, when you are already dealing with a lot of clients or you have a huge business, desktop is still the best.

I knew what you meant by "real" keyboards. I kinda have a problem on typing on laptop's keyboards...
You can't type the same way as you type on a desktop keyboard.
