Try to keep your website speed as low as possible because A recent study found that even a 1-second delay in mobile browser load time can lower conversion rate by 3.5%, bring down page views by 9%, and increase bounce rate by 8%.

Is that from the land of made up statistics? The figures are meaningless without context. For example, I will wait longer for a page that contain important medical information but less time for an entertainment page to open. Or maybe you are waiting for a video to load or your banking app.

Its just something I searched on Google and shared here. It just says that how much its going to effect your traffic if you have 1s delay or you have more Website Loading Speed. That's it.

And where did you find these figures? As I said, without context they are meaningless.

Go back to the source. The recent article they link to was written in 2016. A lot has changed in the last 4 yours. In any case, the brandastic article was specifically about AMP not page load speed and ranking. Note that AMP pages are cached by Google, they do not register as a visit to your website.

Page speed is also important for user experience. Pages with longer load times tend to have higher bounce rates and lower average page dwell time.

The faster the page loads, the better. Customers will leave the website when the waiting speed is more than 5 seconds. For website selling, it is a big loss.

According to me, Yes website load time matters, you can also relate to it. Whenever we open any site if that takes too much time to load we just press the back button, nobody has too much time to wait, this will increase your website bounce rate and bounce rate affect ranking as well. So make your website usability good.

Your page speed ultimately decides for how long a prospect will be on your website. It correlates to page bounce rate, and the higher the bounce rate, the less traffic on your website

Website page loading speed is important. It's a widely known statistic 1-second delay in page response can result in a 7% reduction in conversions. I had got a famous SEO consultant tell me the same. I ensure my blogs speed is audited every few months.

    The seo consultsnt is wrong.

The key is to get the above the fold content resolved as fast as possible. This is what helps conversions, not the absolute page speed.

If that is the case, why does Google only score your site 33/100?

Why does google score your website 47/100?

Maybe his website is new or he is working on it. Why everyone here just trying to put someone down. If you want to share your view then you can, but if you are trying to put someone down then this is not just good.

I’m not trying to rank my sites. I have a marketing strategy that doesn’t rely on the search engines.
