    Method #1: Reset by using the Safe Mode

    Safe Mode is one of the successful methods to reset your Windows XP password. For this, you can follow the below steps:

    · Restart your computer and press the F8 key until your computer finishes the booting.

    · Select Safe Mode with Command Prompt.

    · Now you have successfully entered the safe mode and then go to Control Panel.

    · Tap on the User Account and then choose Change Account.

    · After that, follow the on-screen instructions to finish the procedure.

    Method #2: Reset password by using the Command Prompt

    The command prompt is another method to reset your password in Windows XP. Follow the below instructions to reset the password:

    · First of all, press the Windows Key + R key together and then Run box will open.

    · Now type CMD into the run box and then press the Enter.

    · After that, type net user [account name] [new password] under the command type.

    · Now you need to clear the previous password and then enter a new password for Windows XP.
