I made a couple flyers for my site soon to launch.

The flyer has our logo, and description of the site, and a url in an easy to read format.

Do you believe they are effective? Has anyone had experience with flyers here? Thanks!

I've never had any good experiences, but the most I have ever delivered is 100. regular mail not junk mail.

Small quantities and good target. Depends on the format, paper.

I prefer use an A4 format folded in 3, with a 150gr/m² paper. And depends on the look of the flyer too.

The success on the flyer will depend on getting it into the hands of your potential customers. hcted will you be using this flyer to promote your web design business? How do you plan on distributing it, or would you like some help with that?

I plan to be using the flyers for my up coming social network project. Trying to make as big and as large of a launch as I can.

I am not exactly sure on the distribution part. I can hang up about 10 per local foodstore, give them out to friends, and mail them out (possibly).

Flyers definately will help, but before you send out the flyers, you might consider on your potential customer, send them to people who are interested on similar product, it will save your time by giving you better result

Flyers could work well for a social networking site. If your target members include students you could distribute the flyers at your local colleges and universities. Try to ensure that your flyers include a clear call to action, a reason why the reader should visit your website and a clear statement as to how using your social network will benefit them.

How you use flyers is up to you. From my experience there are areas of a city that will respond to them and areas that will not. For example in Arizona, Mesa is a good area for flyers, but Ahwatukee is not. Target your demographic specifically.

Yeah, flyers are usually used for social networking sites and for students; you can have broaches and other related stuff.

If you are going to refer people to your website you should do AdWords to for retargeting marketing. This way you have a better opportunity in getting the business. Its a start in branding your business. You may want to consider doing this 3x because 1x won't be enough to mail. And eddm is cheaper you will save on the postage go to USPS for the info.

I have done flyers marketing before and although it can be effective depending on what you're promoting, realize that it can also cause a lot of waste too. So what you need to do is definitely target the area and other demographics of the people that you're marketing to in order to get the best results. Also it helps if you can somehow track your flyer marketing efforts via promo codes, tracking phone numbers, etc. then that would be a plus.

Flyers are still a good marketing tool, depending on your product and geographic zone. Not everybody is familiarized with the digital marketing and not everybody feels comfortable with that kind of publicity.

Flyers are effective. I have had people visit our health products site just because they saw the flyers. Have the believe in them. Go for the flyers and distribute them to your target areas.

Flyers are definitely effective if made properly. They should be enticing, have good visuals and summarize your business stance. Distributing them to your target audience is important too.

I know that social media is now one of the best platforms to advertise but I think flyer marketing is still effective. I myself like reading an actual flyer. I usually skips ads when I watch youtube videos.

Based on my experience when it comes to flyers I can say that it's also an effective one because it's like a newspaper that you're distributing where plenty of people can possibly reach by those flyers, there's an instance that I receive a flyer at home regarding new service business which was newly built at our place so whenever I need their service at anytime I called them at anytime by just getting their contact number on flyer. So, for me it's helpful and useful

Flyers marketing is quite effective if done in a right manner and it depends on what you promote. It targets the region you are marketing
    to get the desired results.

Flyers are fine. Not my style though. In this day and age of so many online methods to really target your market, I just think there are far better ways to spend my time and money.

At present, people just usually throw away or refuse to accept flyers. But, as long as the design, content, and layout of the flyers are well thought out, you can grab potential consumers. For me tho, I prefer online methods.

I'm with you on that. I used to do a lot of flyer marketing but the money I was spending just didn't compare with the benefits of online advertising.
