Google pagerank is simply a popularity measurement tool. Designed to rank and place a website in the Google search index, the Google pagerank is given on a scale of 0-10 where a "0" is the lowest possible score for a website and a "10" is the highest score possible. Alexa ranks each website solely on traffic to that website. On a scale of 1 to infinity, Alexa rates each website in a descending order towards 1 where the most highly visited website on the Internet is given a rank of 1 and an obscure or obsolete website might have a score in the tens of millions.

Google PageRank depends on exclusively democratic nature of web by its huge link construction as indicator of individual page's value. Alexa pange rank depends on the traffic which we get for the web site. As traffic increases the alexa rank also start raising. So I think Google page rank is better as it depend on many factors.

I think you must use the Google page rank as Alexa is only depend on the traffic of the web site. And Google gives ranking on the basis of how the Google indexing that site. So it is not only depend on the traffic so it is better than alexa.

Well, Page Rank is not about a ranking based on Google's indexing. It is based on quality backlinks your domain have.
Please take your time to watch the video on the post above you.

On top of everything that has been said, I would like to have a 1000 Alexa, or a PR8 website. Its some incentive and most of the time, as your PR increases, so will your Alexa, and vice versa. I haven't seen many sites with a PR5 and an Alexa in the millions range.

A website's Alexa rating is much different than it's Google pagerank. Google pagerank measures popularity by backlinks and Alexa measures popularity by traffic. Alexa Rank is measured by the level of traffic your web site receives from the number of people who visit with the Alexa toolbar installed. Google pagerank considers that to be a vote for the website in question and therefore indicating that it is of some importance.

Google pagerank is given on a scale of 0-10 where a "0" is the lowest possible score for a website and a "10" is the highest score possible. A high pagerank is earned by having a considerable quantity of relevant web pages linking to that particular website. Alexa rates each website in a descending order towards 1 where the most highly visited website on the Internet is given a rank of 1 and an obscure or obsolete website might have a score in the tens of millions. It rates web site only on the traffic of that site.

I think you must make use of the Google page rank as alexa rank is only depend on the traffic and google PR depend on the all the factors related to the SEO. Alexa ranks are never accurate as it is community based, though it comes into play if you have a blog or a website where ads are the main income source, because most advertisers use alexa ranks. But if you have a commercial website where you are selling your own goods. Then you Google PR is most important than alexa, which most likely to bring you traffic.
