Do you happen to know why some sites rank higher with little
backlinks? Ranking has never been easier!

For ages we have missed this! No wonder SEO companies
always get ahead on their projects and left us,
the outsiders, wondering why they can rank higher
    with little backlinks!!

We have known for years that it is not the quantity of links that is important, but the quality. This does not necessarily mean that all of your links should be PR5 or better, just that the links have to come from relevant articles providing helpful, informative content to their visitors. You'll notice I aid articles, not websites, because some people believe that links should only come from related websites. Actually, the website doesn't matter, as long as the link is related to the subject matter of the article it is located in.

Factors like, branding exposure, social impact, content value, competition, and authority can be addressed on that matter. Remember that links are not the ones that carries a website to have high rankings. Other factors such as co-citations and social signals can affect the rankings of a website.

For your question, that has been roaming around for a long time and the answer to that is and will always be: "It's not the quantity of the links that matter. It's their quality." For example, 1 link from Wall Street Journal can be compared to thousands, even millions of social bookmarking or directory links. The authority of the site your are linking to can affect also.

So, don't look at the quantity. Look where they are linked, and the authority of such sources.

Ranking only goes high when you have quality backlinks not quantity. Its matter that what sort of backlinks do you have. Whether they are coming form cnn, wiki website or just from low quality directories.

First of all site structure is important

    Contents on page are important

If your website becomes on 1st page people should be willing to stay to read the contents

than quality backlinks with patience is very important.

    What i have personally observed
    - Either they have more powerful backlinks or from similar industry
    - The meta title, description and page content is much better optimized
    - The domain is not an Exact matched, but has keyword a part of it
