Mostly I use Google Chrome for browsing the web and it works very well for me, I like it because it's fast. However, recently the Google.com site is running very slow for me, it takes a long time to open. What could be the possible causes of that?

Since Google is working well on my pc, we can assume there is some issue with your pc. Do you have problems even with opening other sites? If yes, clear your browsing history, including cookies etc. , it may help if the browser's memory is full of sites, passwords etc. Have you tried opening it from another browser?

Have you tried clearing your cache? Sometimes it's just on the cache -- or your browser?

Thanks for the suggestions, I've cleared my cache and that seems to have helped. Will post back later to update as to whether or not that solved the problem.

Try clearing your browsers cache and open the google once. Most of the similar cases are solved by clearing the browser's cache. It might be the problem over there.

Thanks for the suggestions, this issue has been resolved, probably by clearing my cache and also speeding up the general performance of my PC.

just a simple tip...when google.com aint working you can always use a google set up fopr another country....just by typing in the country prefix....for example google.fr (the results will be slightly tailored for each country but not by too much)

Clear your caches and cookies that took unwanted space in your PC and make your browser slow to run.

You need to clear your cache for increasing the speed of your internet and computer as well.
