In many forums, including this one, there are members who join and make posts only to get exposure for their own websites. Even after qualifying, some of them continue to make short posts, because they don't care about the forum itself, their only purpose for being in the forum is to advertise their own business. Even knowing about the 50 post requirement, some members will make 50 short posts in about an hour or two, just so they can qualify to have a link in their signature. Here on Business Advice Forum, the requirements for a signature link specify that a member must make 50 helpful posts.
The reason for the 50 post requirement is to make sure, as much as possible, that members are willing to contribute value to the forum, by giving enough information so we can give them the help they need, by truly helping those who need it, or by furthering any discussion they participate in. If the only reason a member joins a forum is for their own benefit, the forum is better off without them.

I don't allow signatures to users with less than 15 posts in my forum, this should make the forum clean from spammers.

I have a challenge for you. Look for a forum with no restrictions and which have quality posts. You won't find one, because when it's possible, people spam horribly :/

We are here as much as possible to prevent these types of things from happening. However, we cannot be here 24/7, so the Admin has provided a way for all the members to help out. Here on BAF, if you see a post that violates the Forum Rules, you can report it to us using the Reporting System. We will then take care of it in the appropriate manner.
