Hi gurus, please kindly help me to analysis these three keywords.

Type the follwing keywords in Google, the approx search results:

    weed control fabric: 1.4 million
    weed mat: 0.4 million
    ground cover fabric:5.6 million

Analysis them by Google keyword planner, found the follwing:

weed control fabric: monthly searches 4400, competition 1
weed mat: monthly searches 2900, competition 0.82
    ground cover fabric:monthly searches 390, competition 1

If choose one of them as main keywords of my website, which one is the best?

Are the results of google keyword planner only for google adwards? I don't know very well, who can help me? Thanks in advance.

The best keyword is the one the best describes your page.;) After that, the keyword with the highest searches and lowest competition is the best, but again, your content must match the keyword and the search intent. Example: if you write a page about a Gazelle (workout equipment) and expect it to rank, but searchers are really looking for gazelle (the animal), your page will likely fail because Google will be able to tell that it's not what searchers are looking for.

A lot of the paid software uses the Google keyword planner so stick with that for starters. Run a small adwords campaign to test the market first

    No they don't!

The keyword planner is an adwords tool. It's has limited use as a comparison tool but it's not much good for anything else.

Google keyword planner is the free and best tool to get the most clickable keywords, so use that to get keywords. Google keyword planner targets the location and words and gives output that consists more competitive and less competitive, highly clicked, and less clicked words, among them you can select the keywords.

Read my last post. It's an adwords tool. Use it as a guide only. You are far better off NOT using the top keywords, look for things that people are not already bidding for on adwords as this indicates lots of competition.

Still no. It's an adwords tool. Which means what you see relates to searches for which there is a direct correlation to an advert. You cannot extrapolate to find the most clicked and less competitive organic keywords

Thanks for all of your comments. One more question:

Two keywords: A, B, find the natural searches in Google:

A: most searches are: Inner pages of online shops sites(such as Amazon, Ebay, Walmart, etc.), and a few of inner pages of Youtube.

B: most searches are: Home pages and inner pages of company sites(quite a few are our competitors).

Question is: Which one is more higher competition, A or B?

Well Good Question, Search engines not only look for home pages but also inner pages as well. "A" keywords are highly competitive, many SEO professionals forgets about the inner page links and majorly focuses on home pages only. As online shops sites has more traffic and search engines gives rankings based on inner page and home pages searches, i can say that A is more competitive.

But to rank high in search engines, we need to go for less competitive keywords !!!
