Ok, I know I'm using yahoo, but I like google a lot. One of my friends and I were having a debate whether google was better or bing. It's just a silly argument, but I want to hear some feedback.

Google is always best. it is always been a first choice of everyone to go for Google to search anything. Its good user experiences force people to google things.

Google is definitely better. I haven't had much experience of Bing, I'm going by the amusing translations it offers on facebook posts which have accents/foreign words in :)

Google is best where as Bing have a limited search to one of the interpretation of keywords. Google definitely delivers more results than Bing. I prefer start which includes Google results.

Google is much popular and widely used than Bing. However, Bing has been supported by MSN or Windows, Google still beats it.

No doubt, Google is best and widely used search engine. This could be for several reason, but according to me, I can find much relevant content to what I'm looking for.

Google has better search technology and more search experience. Bing is a new search engine by Microsoft, now at the stage of development. In the future, perhaps Bing will identical to Google or over Google.

Started looking online at this one, and results were actually kind of similar to what I expected. Seems to be a matter of preference.
But here are the basics of what I found (and I've included a link at the bottom in case you want to dig more into it).

    Navigational Search
    Bing: 4 stars
    Google: 5 stars

    Query Autocorrecting
    Bing: 2 stars
    Google: 4 stars

Searching for Specifics on Large Sites
    Bing: 4 stars
    Google: 3 stars

    Product Searches
    Bing: 4 stars
    Google: 4 stars

    Transactional Searches
    Bing: 4.5 stars
    Google: 4 stars
    Information Sources
    Bing: 2 stars
    Google: 4 stars

    Bias
    Bing: 4 stars
    Google: 4 stars

    Spam
    Bing: 4 stars
    Google: 4 stars

    Who Really Won?
Which search engine is better, Google or Bing? Neither. And both. While neither site ran away with our tests, neither failed miserably. So why, then, is Google so dominant in the marketplace? It might simply be a matter of habit: Google established its place atop the search engine charts years before Bing debuted, and many people continue to use it simply because they always have. They turn to Google just as they reach for Coke on the store shelves.
And then there's that catchy name. If you're looking for information, no one is going to tell you to "bing it." But as our tests clearly show, sometimes "binging it" might be the better way to go. Relying on just one search engine will get you where you're going most of the time. But switching between the two will get you there faster, with a little variety for good measure.

As for me I have experience with both and can confidently say that Google is the best. Google is the largest online information service provider in the world and has better shortcuts and protection. I often use Google Maps in my everyday life. It is very convenient and accurate. Bing doesn't have widely used email or hardware structures.

I've gotten used to using Google after using Mozilla Firefox years ago on my old pc, just stuck with it and never really cared for Bing the few times I tried it.

Everyone here have their personal choice to use favorite search engine.
Here I am listing some difference between these two search engines, read at Entrepreneur article:
Google advantage: Provides more relevant information.
Bing advantage: Social integrations are stronger.
Google advantage: Instant search saves time.
Bing advantage: Results pages are more attractive.
Google advantage: Connected products provide more background information.

Google right now is the king of search engines IMHO. It might be because people has been using it for way too long that no other search engine generally pops into their mind. Bing might slowly be catching up but I doubt that it would overtake Google anytime soon.

I have used Yahoo, Bing, DuckDuck Go and Google. From all these, I can say that Google is the best. Google is easy to use, gives good results compared to other available search engines.
