Which is more effective articles or press release ?
Both are very effective technique for off page SEO activity. Press release helps to get huge traffic in minimum time and article submission give you traffic and quality backlinks. Press Release is also effective to promote competitive keywords in less time.
Both are effective as far as SEO is concerned. Although, article is more powerful because we get valuable textual links.
Spyindiahitesh and rkraj are correct. You can use both, and they are both effective, but press releases should only be used if you have something newsworthy to write about. Articles can be about a wide variety of subjects related to your business, and can be published in a variety of places, at any time.
press release is needs to be factual whereas articles can be factual, can contain opinion which is free flowing and it's main purpose is targeted traffic.Press release is mainly for the introduction of new products and services and articles are to pass on information about topics or industries.
Yes, Both of these techniques of SEO has it's importance at there own place. As press release gives you back links in a very short time but these back links are may not quality back links. Whereas, article bookmarking take time to provide you quality links.
i would say both are good but there is a condition you need to check it out whether they are allowing you no-follow or do-follow.
For me both ways are helpful and effective. So why not use them both?
