I already have a blog for my website at blogger.com.
But now I want my personal blog and I want to get away from blogger.com.
So where is the next best place?
The reason I want to move away from blogger, is they put an extremely annoying "Send Feedback" popup overlaid on the bottom of my vertical scroll bar. I really don't think I should have to put up with that. Otherwise I will have to send them feedback every time I see that Feedback button in my way.

The best way to do this would be to buy a domain name and install a CMS in your web directory like WordPress or Drupal. This way you will have full control over your blog and you can make it look exactly the way you want it to!

Under no conditions will I use WordPress. Drupal and other CMS are way more than I am looking for.

I like Weebly, but I found out there is no filtering of user comments. I would have to approve/edit every comment.

So does anyone know other FREE, similar to Weebly, but has filtering of user comments?

Well, if you need free blog platform try wordpress, but if you have really unique and quality content I'd suggest to get your own domain name and paid hosting to have more possibilities to monetize your website

I already just told you under no conditions will I use WordPress.

And I don't care about monetizing. I just want to get traffic to my website.

If you don't like blogger you can make your new personal blog on WordPress. Wordpress is a good CMS(Content Management System). You can use PHP in your website.

I already just told you under no conditions will I use WordPress. I presume these useless posts, waste everyones time, clutter the forum, are for your post count to go up.

I will take a look at jimdo, wix, typepad, hubage, and webnode.

    I don't like blogspot.

    - - - - Posts Merged - - - -

Let me tell you people something. WordPress doesn't want me.
    Here is what happened:
    1. I moved personal blog to WordPress. I was having trouble implementing something so I went to forum. Then I figured it out but I accidentally posted part of my question anyway.
This is when they started to attack my blog.

    2. I considered moving my business blog to WordPress, but I wanted to find out if they would react the same way as they did to my personal blog, so I posted a question about at the forum.
And this is when they became very hostile, ending by telling me I should stay at Blogger and I should Go Away.

So you see, under no conditions will I have anything at all to do with WordPress. They are the nastiest I have encountered across the entire internet

    Hi RoseAb,

I had had the same such kind of popup from blogger too. However, after I wrote him some feedback and notice him too not sending me again the popup,-now I don't get it at all.

By the way, there some blog to be used such as typepad wordpress and many more. You can search them through web browser.

    Good luck for you.

    Typepad or livejournal.

All are free sources for making blogs

There maybe a variations of theme you can select from.

Actually, they did remove that popup when I complained the first time but later, they did not.
I think it will be a constant annoyance, either that popup or something else they want to do.

well like someone before me told you, then you may want to start making your own pages, just buy a domain for your sites, you can develo usp our own sites or you can simply using CMS, you don't need to use wordpress, you can used Umbraco or Kentico (ASP Based CMS)

first you need to pick a name which can describe your blog content
buy domain and hosting configure them
pick a theme for your blog
    start writing your blog.

I read your previous comments. So if you do not like WordPress them I would suggest you to first make your blog on WordPress with custom theme, and then buy a domain and make your own website. For Custom theme you should get TemplateToaster. Because you will be able to make web design of your website. Make your web design appealing. Informative content presented on beautiful web design will definitely increase your followers.

There are number of blogger sites available, you can start posting your blog on different sites. But I will not suggest you start post your blog on those sites, simply I would like to suggest you to do blog post in Quora, which is really. Simply my way is why to follow others, why can't we try another way.
