My father once told me : "After your study, let the world open up to you." meaning, you should focus on study now, but once you are done, seek the many possibilities that arise to you.

I think on my part, the best advice was to study hard and work hard. Now I'm on my way to success. :)

Ha! Funny, I was just thinking about this last night. The best advice (or most memorable, impacting advice) my Mom ever gave me was "Find something to do". That was her reaction to me saying I was bored as a teenager. She would tell me to "then find something to do". It taught me not to wait for something to happen but to make things happen.

Edit: just wrote a blog post about it. Thanks for the idea! :)

My father told me that the best way to love my children was to openly express my love for my wife. The fruits of these words are sent forth with every unselfish act, kind word, and expression of love that comes from my children.

When doing something, always give it your best shot so as not to have regrets in the end.

Good Thread, too bad I just saw it now. :)

My Mom always tells me that "Life can sometimes be unfair and that it will never be perfect... But every time you fall, slowly get up and face your day with a smile on your face even though you feel that the World has been crashing down upon you, God will never give you trials you'll never get Through... Always Keep your Faith held up high..." :)

Welcome to Business Advice Forum David. Reminds of the phrase "under promise and over deliver" always a good policy.

    * Be careful with your energy use. Don't use more water than you need.

    * Don't add sugar to your food. If you never eat it, you never miss it and it's not good for you.

    * The people who work the hardest are often the ones who get paid the least.

    * Always be learning how to do something new.
