What are everyone's thoughts and worries over the current unrest? Will this affect your company?
I don't watch the news can you fill me in on what's going on?
With all the media available, including both offline and online, it's been hard to avoid, even for someone who doesn't watch the news. Basically, Ukraine, and specifically an area known as Crimea, is part of what used to be known as the Soviet Union, and Crimea used to be part of Russia itself. Recently, Ukraine, including Crimea, was deciding whether to ally with Russia, or become part of the European Union. In retaliation, Russia decide to invade Crimea, and then have a "vote" in Crimea to decide whether they wanted to become part of Russia. By the time the "vote" had taken place, Russia had taken over, so the "vote" was in favor of becoming part of Russia. NATO, the united States, and Ukraine itself, believe the "vote' was illegal, and many countries, including the US, established sanctions against Russia. Danoctopus's question refers to whether or not the sanctions imposed on Russia will effect businesses in other countries, and what those effects might be.
