What strategy was used by companies to sell products to rural communities?
Various companies utilize different ways to reach the Rural Audience. As per the budget for marketing they either reach in person or with the help of Digital Platforms they reach them through technology. There are many case studies on this. One of them is of Hindustan UniLiver’s Active Wheel which I had recently read about. Their objective was to reaching consumers who had no access to mass media, and creating awareness of brand attributes among target audience. They took simple elements of technology for rural marketing. In rural communities only, many people can live, so definitely it is a huge opportunity to improve business by using print media and television ads or divisional branches with good skilled sales persons.
