What is the difference between dofollow and nofollow links ?
The different is link juice passing, no follow links does not help to improve PR.
yes, I do agree with above answer. Google does only pass link juice for do follow links.
The difference is the rel="nofollow" attribute. Dofollow links doesn't have that.
In addition, sites with dofollow links pass link juice or PageRank to the site linked but nofollow sites don't.

The true difference between them is that "dofollow" doesn't really exist. Have you seen a rel="dofollow" attribute? That word was only substituted to use for the absence of nofollow. Nofollow does exist. So Technically, there is no dofollow attribute. The reason that makes that one exist is that it is believed by many SEOs nowadays.
Nofollow is used to cut the transferring of value from one page to another. It is used to kill all those blatant spammers back in 2007 when the power of blog commenting to rank a site is amazing. Google intended to stop that by launching the "nofollow" attribute to a link.
About dofollow......hmmmmm......What search engine launch an attribute like that?!
Just to add one important point,
regardless of thinking about no-follow do-follow, one need to focus on quality of the page from which they are generating backlinks. It will help more
The dofollow tag was a big hit a few years back. It really doesn't mean a thing. if no "nofollow" is specified, a search engine is going to crawl it anyway. dofollow was a great way to gain false interest in certain link directorys, or just sites in general.
There is no way a search engine is going to place any extra importance on a dofollow tag. Allowing users to place extra importance on a link doesn't make any sense form a search engines perspective. On the contrary i think they are trying to build ranks as genuinely as possible. A dofollow tag meaning anything will only hurt their chances.
Well, you don't really need to worry much on dofollow and nofollow links. Both can give you different advantages once placed on the right website.
Do follow Links are valued by Google While No-follow are not . Do-follow Links helps with link juice .
Well, let's not take nofollow links for granted. They can still bring you traffic.
Its not so true. If you are getting nofollow link from some trusted site than its valuable. Nofollow links are also valuable and necessary to diversify your links. If you're getting all the dofollow links and 0 nofollow than there is a chance of spamming.
Dofollow link passes link juices whereas nofollow doesn't passes link juice. Dofollow helps in improving your SERP as well as PR
Will you be branded as spammer by Google?
In which way? Do follow links gives the good link juice which is better for site Page Rank in the other hands Nofollow not gives the juice just gives the traffic.
It all goes back to making your linking look natural. If all you have is do-follow links, Google will think that they were obtained artificially, and may penalize your site, or at least not raise your ranking. Even if they actually are obtained artificially, through legitimate means, a mixture of do-follow and no-follow links will make it look natural. Printingray brings up a good point - even if no-follow links don't bring you link juice, they may actually bring you visitors, who can become customers or clients.
I am not much sure about Spammer but definately your SERP will not move up.
Dofollow count as back link to the site from search engine, it's important for site ranking to get quality back links.
Nofollow dosen't count as back link to the site from search engine but it can be helpful to generate traffic source.
The basic difference between do-follow and no-follow link is do-follow link passes link juice, which helps your webpage to increase Page Rank.
Do follow Link is a hyperlink that is able to tell all search engines to pass along it’s page rank influence to an outbound link. No follow Link is exactly the opposite. It is a hyperlink that removes the ability to pass on its page rank status to other sites. No follow are for not crawling a link by search engine that influence the ranking of a particular website or blog in search engines.
Dofollow : <a href= “URL”>Anchor Text</a>
Nofollow: <a href= “URL” rel=nofollow>Anchor Text</a>
You are right But no-follow links are important for website to makes your linking process more natural .
