What is keyword stuffing?
Excessive usage of keywords is known as keyword stuffing.
Optimal usage is 4-5% of main keywords depends on your content. And make use of Stemming Keywords.
When you use too much keyword in you content and visitor can not found any authentic information except your keyword that is called keyword stuffing. This thing disturbs the readers and negatively affects your site. It is illegal method of black hat SEO and you should avoid using it.
This is very dated advice. Google's search intelligence has gotten much better with understanding synonyms and even words that are related but not equivalent. While you should not skip your keywords entirely, write for humans, not for search engine robots. If your article is well written about its topic, the search engines will figure it out. More important, a well-written piece will attract more natural links which will be much better for your ranking in the SERPs than how many times your keyword appears on the page.
This thing disturbs the readers and negatively affects your site. It is illegal method of black hat SEO and you should avoid using it.repeating keyword again and again on content which makes no sense at all is called keyword stuffing.
Keyword stuffing is considered to be a black hat technique of SEO, if any such webmaster seems to be repeating keywords more than desired percentage may look the whole content unnatural for the readers. This technique though seems to be worked at early days but now search engines are smart enough to find any such activity and they make sure to penalize such webmasters.
Hello friend very informative topic...Typically, these lists or paragraphs of keywords, often randomly repeated. Check carefully, because the word can often be in the form of hidden text, or may be hidden title tags or alt attributes.
Is there a way to positively use keyword stuffing?
Now that is the right question.
Sometimes you simply forget to insert proper keywords in a page content. For example
"Somecity zoo is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily."
But people usually search "somecity zoo hours".
So actually you need to stuff the word "hours" in your text somehow, right?
It is considered as black hat SEO. Sometimes to rank keyword high people start stuffing keywords everywhere in content , blogs etc. there is a way to use keywords in content in proper way. In 500 words content its good to use primary keyword 4 to 5 times bt if you are stuffing it to 9 - 10 times then instead of ranking high there may be chance of going down. So do ethical way of seo
Keyword stuffing is an unethical search engine optimization or SEO technique. This technique includes overloading a web page (meta tags or content) with keywords. Today this SEO technique is completely outdated.
Keyword stuffing is just changing like everything else, becoming more sophisticated.
Now it's about rewrintig text with SEO in mind, but keeping it readable.
I think keyword stuffing will only die with search engines.
In recent google updates. The google told that they are going to penalize those website which are doing keywords stuffing for getting search engine ranking benefit. The owner of the website add targeted keyword again and again in the low quality content to fool the google crawler. They think they will get top rank by doing this. But now google updated their crawling system and the website will get penalize if the crawler find such stuffing on any website.
I dont think there is any way to use keyword stuffing positively.. I mean generally a keyword density of 50% is considered fine.. But I am not sure how you can balance the quality of posts if you focus more on keywords.. Today a site with over keywords usage not only distracts a visitor but also gets penalized! so I am guessing there are no positive ways to use this technique..
A SEO technique used by Web designers to overload keywords onto a Web page so that search engines will read the page as being relevant in a Web search. Because search engines scan Web pages for the words that are entered into the search criteria by the user, the more times a keyword appears on the Web page the more relevancy the search engine will assign to the page in the search results (this is only one way that search engines determine relevancy, however.) Search engines often penalize a site if the engine discovers keyword stuffing, as this practice is considered poor netiquette, and some search engines will even ban the offending Web pages from their search results.

Good share Missnancyalex. Well I watched the video, and most of the things he said was actually right. Although most of the things he said are things that SEOs should know beforehand. Spammy keywords on Title tags, in content, in footer links and things like that. SEOs should have known better.
"Keyword stuffing" refers to the practice of loading a webpage with keywords in an attempt to manipulate a site's ranking in Google's search results. Filling pages with keywords results in a negative user experience, and can harm your site's ranking. Focus on creating useful, information-rich content that uses keywords appropriately and in context.
To fix this problem, review your site for misused keywords. Typically, these will be lists or paragraphs of keywords, often randomly repeated. Check carefully, because keywords can often be in the form of hidden text, or they can be hidden in title tags or alt attributes.
best example above, however tempting keyword stuffing is a no,no! not even for keyword density, you can rank for keywords without even having them on your page.
Like other "blackhat" techniques, does keyword stuff bring you some rankings or it will automatically put your site down?
