Our diet and the foods we eat, has a major impact on how much personal energy we have and our personal energy level is a major factor in our well being, happiness and success. Are there any foods or diet plans that you would suggest for improving personal energy?

Personally, I try to drink at least three cups of green tea a day. My energy definitely sees an improvement without the anxiousness that coffee causes me sometimes.

Mine, if I eat something unhealthy, I tend to get lazy. So on weekdays, I try to eat healthy. :)

Anyone heard about glass noodle before? It is kind of white noodles before cook, but become clear colour after cooking in water. The calories for glass noodle is quite low, and easily feel full after consume. This is my favourite meal when i am keeping my diet.

I don't have a diets / food rule for me. I eat whatever I like to eat and I use it on my work and exercise. For increasing energy, I recommend fruits like apple, oranges and also juices. It initially increases the energy in our body. Also, you can eat salads like carrot and some green edible vegetables.

Same with me devilbatista. I never follow any rules while eating is concerned. Anything which is available at that time. Only take lots of water.

I would say green vegetables, fruits, juices and lot of water. These should be a part of of your regular diet. And more importantly avoid high-fat fast food.

I love green veggies, I not a fan of fruits but I drink plenty of water. Water keeps you healthy, moisturized and it cleanses your body. It's also very good for the skin. ;)

A healthy dose of daily brain food/"mental diet" that increase the love/enthusiasm of, and eagerness to participate in, life :).

Half joking. But seriously, while "personal energy level is a major factor in our well being, happiness and success" as Fergal nicely put, mental wellbeing in turn affects our personal energy level as well. e.g., a beaming person (of joy and happiness) tends to feel more energized... And some routine if not daily cultivation of our wellbeing such as reading uplifting words (brain food) and doing simple mental exercises (mental diet, e.g., light meditation) could help us elevate our energy level and and/or fend off stress and burn out.

I think that you need fruits and vegetables + all types of nuts and a lot of water and some green tea will do the trick.
Some brakes from time to time and fresh air. And positive thinking as usual. :) :)

I love to get back into diet but the thing is I love food. The only trick to staying healthy is picking foods that are good for you. Drinking a lot of water is enough but I think green tea already have the votes in this thread. Just keep yourself hydrated and eat healthy. You can make occasional cheats on weekdays where you can eat your fave things like ice creams (without the word low fat, 0% or etc), softdrinks (again without the zero or light), etc.
