I'd love to find a good app that allows me to listen to free music on an Android phone.

What apps do you use for music on your phone?

If you have ever been on YouTube you ill have noticed a company called VEVO adding new and updated music videos of celebrity bands and artists. They have developed an app for Android phones which allows you to listen to music while also watching it's music video. Here is a little quote:

    Market link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.vevo

    It's a free app and I'd probably give it a 4/5 rating.

Thanks for the recommendation J Greig, I've installed VEVO on my mobile and will test it out.

I don't need the video, so would also welcome any suggestions of music apps that don't require playing videos.

Although there are numerous mobile android apps available for music, I like and suggest some of the best mobile apps are MP3 Music Download Super, Music Paradise, Music Junk and Freegal Music.

I recently got Musicovery. It encourages people to play music by their mood and making recommendations for the tracks that they don't own already.

Thanks for the suggestion ownedbox, I have actually downloaded and used TuneIn Radio. It's a very good app, with lots of great content available free of charge.

Is it not possible for us to develop our own android music app with the help of android app builders available online. One of my android developer friend told me that it is possible with the help of pod casts. I would try it and let you people know.
