If it's just a simple blog site, there would be nor problem then.

Please give more details about the blog site. What type of site is it and what is its purpose? Shared IP would be fine if you have seasonal mailers and do not tend to spend much.

By shared IP, you mean blog hosted on some IP? If so, it should be fine as long as the blogs and sites on that IP are not linked to each other because then it would be considered a link network, which may result in Google Penalize all the site on that network.

There wont be any problem but its best to have a separate IP for 2 different domains.

I agree with fellow members that it would better to have unique IP for each domain. As we do not want to loose anything in terms of business by doing these kind of things.

For just a blog site, a shared IP is probably best because it is cheapest. If it were an e-commerce site or a site that deals with a lot of sensitive data, then a dedicated host would probably be more ideal.
