    Hello everyone,

To what extent are the free Website Analysis tool accurate? Are these tools effective?
Can some one provide a list of such tools?

    Thank-you

Are you asking about any particular tools Tim? Google Analytics would be a good place to start, or are you looking for a different type of analysis tool?

Google Analytics is rightfully considered one of the best because it is really a comprehensive tool, which gives you tons of useful data about your site.

As all the above fellows are with Google analytic as do i but there are others too which can be considered as the best web site analytic tools like Traffic Travis, ahrefs, majestic. Web masters around the globe are getting benefits from them and you may find their overall reputation over the internet easily.

Besides Google Analytics, I suggest SEMrush and SEOmoz in your website analysis tools. SEMrush is the most preferred tool because it provides close to real results unlike other tools. Same with SEOmoz.

    Hi,

There's also open source options for those that want to keep their data 100% in-house like Open Web Analytics (can't post link yet)

The effectiveness of a tool can be determine only you experience by yourself. I like SEOMoz and SEM Rush, but others may not. Each tool has its own factors, and algorithm.

For Ex: Majestic SEO crawl and stats the link status for every 60 Days. (hopefully, I meant their historical index and fresh index)

SEm Rush will refresh their data for every 30 Days. And SEOMoz has their own calender to refresh.

to track analysis of a user try mouse flow . com... it tracks the mouse interaction of a user and creates mini videos for this...it gives feedback on usability of the website...rather than showing just how many visitors are coming to a site...

First, see how fast your site is loading in all browsers and in far off lands. I use Pingdom.com. It runs your site and gives lots of info to speed loading. A slow loading site will kill traffic quicker than anything.

Choose only two analytics such as Google and bing. Both are free, but don't mix both websites. see both , but follow and consider only one analytics tools.
