Mashable just printed their 4 predictions about how the social scape will impact politics in the near future.

What are your thoughts on this quote from '4 Predictions for the Future of Politics and Social Media'? Mashable, 12/29/10:

"While these tools [Facebook, Twitter, YouTube] have certainly proven to be effective in rallying support and contributions, we don’t yet live in a world where social media can make or break a political candidate by itself."

That will change, perhaps even by the next major election cycle."

It's a whole new world, ain't it George? Thoughts?

Social media will not die. What will die is the current networks, programs and websites. they are not made to last as these ideas are replicated from the very first instance back when the internet was born( albeit in other forms). Someone will always come up with another design and they are then easily replaced
