What is the best criterion to identify the value of a backlink
Take a look at the website it comes from. Is it an editorial link from an article, press release, or blog entry - and, yes, there is a reason why I said blog entry, or does it come from a forum post or directory. Is it from a respected or well-known site? Is the website it comes from highly ranked in the SERP's? You can receive backlinks from anywhere, but if you are going to create them yourself, or have them created for you, make sure you have a diverse mix of websites and backlinks, not all the from the same type of site.
The value of the link is based on where it comes from. Firstly the website from where you get the backlink and then the location of the link on the site. If it is a content based link or a link in the author bio. It may be a footer link as well. Content based backlinks from high authority websites hold more value.
citation flow and trust flow of majestic SEO is best for analyzing the value of backlink
