Is it okay (ethical?) to pay a few art majors at my university to come up with a logo for my future business? I currently live in South Korea where I am an English teacher at a university. I have quite a few art students that would love a few extra bucks. I will be opening my business next year in America.

Yes, but you gotta pay them. As long as you buy the logo from them, then it is fine

I think it's a great idea hotsoxmeow. The students will be glad of the money and of some paid work that they can show in their portfolio. It's a win win situation that benefits everyone involved.

The one thing you might want to check is that your university has no rules or guidelines preventing teachers from paying students for their work.

I'm a teacher as well and I'm always trying to find ways to get kids some real-world experience. This seems like a win-win for you!
