Research has shown that we are happiest when our thoughts are focused. Allowing your mind to wander and daydream makes you unhappy. Read the full article When the Mind Wanders, Happiness Also Strays (NY Times).

I'd have to agree with that research, I'm never as happy or content as I am when I am truly engaged and focused on the task at hand. Are you happier when you're focused?

Yes, only when i focus on the thing that i'm interested.
For example, game lover are happy when they focus on playing game.
However, this might not happen when you are focusing on something you dont like but it is necessary such as making report...lol
yes, worker focus on doing their report just because the boss need it, not because they like it

Based on my observation yes you are correct, I'm not happy when i'm in focused because my attention was focused on it and it gives me the conclution of "What if", what if i never made it, what if i failed to do so, what if it didn't work, what if.. what if... And that makes me unhappy that is why i need to focus focus and focus because i don't want to end up with "What if".

I get real pleasure when I do something carefully and when I'm concentrated on something. Thus, I got satisfaction from the result.
