There are lots of hosting for your choice such as godaddy, bluehost, ixwebhosting... bluehost is cheap.

I can recommend you to contact SiveHost.com team. Their uptime is great - 99.9%
The thing that really has impressed me is the willingness of the support staff to take the time to explain things to a newbie who asks very basic questions.

If you are starting with ecommerce then the only thing that matters is speed as you want your shopping cart to load fast for the customers right?

At the start you should suffice with a managed cloud hosting plan but as your store starts getting good amount of traffic then VPS or dedicated is recommended.

Please keep in mind that Magento is server intensive in other words it will require a bit more from your hosting than say woo-commerce.

I looked at hostingsource and see that the ssl says "parts of the page are not secure" and the other site oissite I got a database error when I clicked on a few links. So for me they would be non starters

You know services from kvchosting.net and limeisp.com are worth trying.
Happy to use their service, being one of the first ones to grab their discounted price. The support specialist was very courteous and guided me through the problem I was having setting up SSL for my site.

Hi Marven. I can recommend to you TMDhosting.com. I use this provider for a coulple of years. They have a titanium support. I have run prestashop site wih this host and have 0 issue. There was a time when I completely messed up my website, and they fixed in a very short time.

KVChosting.net and rackend.com can be good for you.
Their servers come with one of the industry's most complete set of standard features and services at no additional cost.

I would recommend you to avoid cheap offers. And your choice and decision will always depend on the servers location. If that is EU I would recommend you libertyvps.net. If that is US I would recommend you to check hostingsource.com

I would recommend you do not cheap out on hosting, as it's something where you truly get what you pay for. Best to pay a few bucks more than risk the trustworthiness of your brand! Also i would recommend to be wary of using hosting brands of EIG corporation (BlueHost, HostGator, etc you can find a list online) as they offer poor services, especially BlueHost which is the worst of the bunch in my experience.

Also avoid all mentioned by Johnwb, kinza and Pinko as they are essentially the same message of what looks to be a spam bot.
