SQL Editing Question

    I try to edit some sql code, when the file open in notepad, it is not organize in table form. Anyone can recommend me good a free mySQL editing tool? Beside that how can I convert CSV file to SQL?

    I'm not an expert in SQL, however I have used it a little. Personally I found Notepad++ to be a great editor for SQL. It's free and you can get it from that link.

    Sorry I can't help you with the second part of your question.

    I'm a database guy although I've never used mySQL curiously enough (just Foxpro and a bit of Access back in the day). Surely mySQL has a tool to import a CSV file. If not, you'll have to create a file containing a bunch of

    INSERT INTO table1 VALUES (field1, field2...)

    commands or whatever exact equivalent in mySQL for each row and column of your file. You'll need an app to create this file and I'm sure you could find one somewhere. Or use VBA to create it yourself.

    As for an editor, Notepad should be sufficient.

    create table table_name;
    Insert into Table_name Values(Value1, value2,valu2);

    With phpMyAdmin, you can view and edit SQL data easily.
