Do any of you use your Skype number for your business number? If so, what country did you choose and why?

I thought skype can identify where a user is from and users need not to tell skype which country. but if so does it mean one can fake their info?

    I'm not a skype user.

If you have a business, Skype can be your secret call service weapon. I have a small business and I use Skype. Its free and easy to install. It makes the work place more professional and enjoyable. I also use it at home with relatives. Some ways it can be enjoyable is if you use the Ad-Ons.

No. You can use fake information just like anywhere else. They also give you the option to choose which country you want the telephone number they give you to be based in.

I use an Australian, US and UK number via Skype for my online business. Basically that is where my markets are, and it was cheap enough to get on at the time.

It's pretty reliable for business use these days if you have a headphone that gives quality sound in and out.

Yeah I was thinking of it since Skype always send me free minutes. I'm not sure what country to go for though. I'm from the U.S. but I have international clients.

    skype

Skype has broken many barriers to communication.
Skype also provides presence information in a very practical way. Presence is the availability and willingness of a person to communicate.

Maybe I should just use a U.S. number, but it would be cool and convenient to use a U.K. number or something.

I use skype, yes, but I don't like it very much.
It keeps disconnecting me for some odd reason.
I think it's a problem with the new Microsoft ID.

I don't like it very much either but it seems a lot of people today prefer to speak over Skype than anything else.

I think Skype is the best Instant messenger till to-date. It's fast, reliable and stable. The voice / video chat goes very smoothly. You can also use conference chat too. It has good multiple features. It's doesn't have connection issues like other instant messengers. It's really one of the coolest messenger.

Currently the only downside to Skype for me is that they do not have an application that is compatible with the Amazon Kindle Fire.
