    SEO is non paid , only organic to get traffic,

    in SEM it can be paid like google adwards, clickbank, etc to get relevant traffic .

    Simply put, SEO is optimizing your site content and meta tags to gain visibility in search engines. SEM is doing marketing, like purchasing links on website, to gain visibility in search engines.

    In short, SEO is free and SEM is not (at least not always).

This is because there are no secrets to successful search engine positioning - just experience, a lot of research and tons of hard work.

    What do you mean by that? SEM is an acronym for search engine marketing. You market your website (buy links, etc.) to gain better visibility in the search engines.

    I see SEM as a rather broad term. It's everything that can be done to utilize the technology of search engines with the goal of promoting a web site and increasing its traffic, its "stickiness," and, in the case of sites that promote a business (or are a business), increase profits. SEO, therefore, would be a subset of SEM.

    SEO uses some methods where a website or particular page from a site is optimized to rank well in the search engines result. They can either be optimized on-page or off-page, but both the techniques will give you the organic result or free traffic from other sites or search engines. Visitors will come to your site without needing you to place an advertisement.

    On the other hand, SEM marketing techniques are a practice of online advertising. Ads will need to be placed in the right spot with the right keywords, all around this big online network and of course, with a fee. The good thing is that if you’re running a PPC campaign, only real browser clicks will be taken into account and this helps the advertisers to have the right amount of real visitors with the right amount of price.

    If you could walk out of the house today and find someone who does NOT know what Google is, then SEO is irrelevant.

    But if you're one of the people who haven't been living under a rock, then as a marketer, as a small business owner, as a webmaster, and even as a user, you need to know what search optimization is all about. To the business owners, practitioners, and webmasters who study the art, they know that it begins with the right state of mind that's needed to accomplish the goals you set. The age of discovery lies within google, and getting search engines to index your content and promote it to the top pages of search results for the key words that are relevant to your content is key.

    SEM is the optimization of your internet marketing so that customers who are looking for topics or subjects can find your page among the mix. SEM is about improving the rankings of your page so that users won't have to scroll below the fold on Google's SERP just to find you. SEM is about optimizing the relevance of your product and the popularity of your content so that you exist not just search engines, but to the users who you want to engage with you.

    And that's a marketing perspective of what SEO is all about.

    SEO is a process through which you rank up your site organically by optimizing your site and through SEM you rank up the side using paid advertisement

    I SEO we only do the organic work no piad link but in SEO google Adwords , adsense etc. are come .

    Simply put, SEO is applying your websites articles and meta data to obtain awareness in google. SEM is doing promotion, like buying hyperlinks on web page, to obtain awareness in google.
    In shorter, SEO is free and SEM is not (at least not always).

    SEO is Search Engine Optimization and SEM is Search Engine Marketing. Both are same, and helped to increase the visibility of the website in search engines and generate business online.

    SEO is the process followed to improve the visibility of webpages in search engines. SEM is broader than SEO. It includes SEO and other areas to improve a sites visibility in search engine results pages, like paid listings and paid inclusions.

    This is a question that keeps on repeating and repeating in different forums and blogs and even websites. "What Is The Difference Between SEO and SEM?" It may seem like a different kind of thing right? But the thing is it is quite the same but it only differs on the method on gaining their goals. SEO has a different method on obtaining promotion and backlinks in their goal of promoting a website. SEM in the other hand have a different method too to promote the website and it's services. SEM is a much broader term than SEO. SEO is not exactly under the SEM structure but can be included. SEM has a much broader capability in terms in marketing whilst SEO remains in the link between Search Engine and Website Optimization.

    Search Engine Marketing: It’s how a webmaster drives traffic toward their website. This is categorized as referral traffic, and typically this is accomplished by starting PPC (Pay Per Click) ad campaigns where your ad is displayed above the search engine results.

    SEO is search engine optimization while SEM is search engine marketing. SEM is very controllable. It includes purchase of AdWords. You can decide how much you want to spend and on which keywords and phrases. SEO includes examining a website in order to find technical issues with it that might be preventing Google or other search engines from accessing the website.

    SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization which includes the segments of Organic Marketing Only, Where SEM stands for Search Engine Marketing which includes the segments of Organic Marketing and Paid Marketing as well as.

    Both are necessary to operate an effective web marketing presence. SEO is free & SEM is not. But please do not think "which is better". It's up to you which one you need. There are some cases where you need SEO & SEM in others. This varies from B2B
