what is HTML site map and why we used HTML site map.....?
A site map is a list of pages of a web site easy to get to to crawlers or users. It informs search engines that individual pages on your site are new or updated and are available for crawling.
HTML site map is the webpage that contains links already resided on your website. It is like an index page for users as well as crawlers to easily find each page. It is especially created for the user's purpose to increase the user experience.

HTML site-map is created for human and Google loves those sites which are created human not for robots. So its better to have a HTML site-map on your site.

I would like to tell you that HTML sitamap is not necessary for small websites, it is needed only, if you have a large number of pages on your website and users may confused while searching for the information, if you are thinking for ranking purpose, then it is of no use.
It is way better to have XML sitemap actually. If you don't know how to do it, you can search the web as there are various online free softs and websites for creating sitemaps.
