Which will be more beneficial for my new developed website? I am bit confused between SEO and PPC. Should I go for PPC because I want immediate results or can SEO also provide instant results for my website to rank better and quickly?

If you want immediate results, or as close as possible to immediate results, PPC is the way to go. It could get expensive, though, depending on how competitive your desired keywords are. In spite of what some people may tell you, SEO will not provide instant results, even if it is done properly. The one thing they both have in common is that there will always be someone else that wants to be where you are. With PPC, that means someone may have a better ad than you, bid more for a keyword than you, or do something else that makes their ad more appropriate for the keyword, or more appealing to their potential visitors. With SEO, that means continuing to work on your content to make sure it is appealing to your visitors, and continuing to earn and/or obtain links for your site.

Steve, what are you selling? As joeroxx pointed out, seo will never bring about immediate results, no matter how much you pay a specialist or what they promise you. It depends on how competitive the keywords are that you are going after and requires a sustained effort to see any results (a period of several months is fairly common, and that's for less competitive keywords). In addition to PPC (which too many people dive into without knowing what they are doing and burn through a whole load of cash), you could try reaching out to other website/business owners that serve the same target market with you. Ask them if they would be interested in the high quality content that you should be producing for your own site. Developing relationships in this manner can allow you to tap into a following that someone else has already established. Depending on your niche you may also be able to build a strong social media presence and generate traffic in this way relatively quickly compared to seo too.
