For me, I focus mainly on search engine like google.com
It's one of the busiest search engine in the web.
Check the rankings of your keywords in google.com.

It depends on what specific country you want to rank for. And in what manner do you want to expand your business? Is it for ranking? Brand exposure? or what? If you will look at the other big businesses like LG, Nike, and Samsung, their websites have a separate domain extensions for their targeted countries. take a look at this examples: http://www.nike.com/ph/, http://www.samsung.com/ph/#latest-home, http://www.lg.com/ph.

But that marketing strategy is mostly applicable on big businesses. So you need to define your target countries because Google datacenters are located at specific locations on different countries. If you wish to expand your business by rankings, would be much better if you will aim to rank first for Google.com. Or, you can use text contents (articles, press releases, blogs) that mention the country where you want to rank and then put a link back to your money site. By mentioning those countries that you want to target, you are also reminding Google that you want to rank for that specific country.

You promote your site on google.com. There you properly do off page and on page optimize. By the process you increase your page rank in Pacific countries.

Generating inbound links is one of the most important elements of SEO, no matter what countries you're catering to. The more inbound links you have from external websites, the better your site will rank, and the more visibility it will have in search engines.
