What is the different between SEO and SEM?
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing). SEM is simply marketing to gain visibility in search results like paid placement, contextual advertising, paid inclusion etc. SEO is the practice of optimizing a website content so that
it would rank higher in search results.
Search Engine Optimization = this is a organic search which includes page / image optimization - more over improve the loading time
Search Engine Marketing = this is a method of link building and building traffic to your site
The term Optimization in SEO has more to do with Website. i.e improving website and it's impression for Users and Search Engine both.
The term Marketing in SMO has more to do with Branding i.e working on improving your brand value online through various marketing techniques.
SEO - is the process of optimizing a website to get the traffic thru methods like link building, on-page optimization, social bookmarking, press release and the others.
