    Ive never understood why people pay so much money for it when you do some research and look into it more and stuff there is defiantly chances and opportunities to do it for yourself and then save yourself so much money.

    But then again like most things it gets done that much you would need a SEO expert to have the benefits

    It is useful for businesses but it is not easy. If you pick the wrong keywords or wrong description you may waste tons of budget and get zero ROI!

    As both xcubex and sanjiv pointed out, you can do SEO yourself if you have the knowledge to do it right. However, Anahit also makes a valid point - if you do it wrong, you will not get the results you need. Not only that, but if you hire someone to do it for you after you do it wrong, it will cost you more because the firm or person you hire now has to fix your mistakes, in addition to doing what should have been done.

    Online marketing and search engine marketing plays an imperative role for the websites, products or services. All of the leading search engines are rely on authenticated data and give value to high quality domains that have balanced authority. Both options are good that helps to grow businesses, generate traffic and sales too.

    Beside this, we can’t deny the SEO; it is an inexpensive source of direct marketing. It really works if the person knows the prime and proper way according to Google guidelines. SEO is the best practices for the people who know the worth. :)

    I believe if you do proper optimization of your website and make it SE friendly that surly Google will consider it. If you pay more attention to On-page then can more easier to rank well in Google.

    Since what ever you have said is actually true. Purpose of SEM is only to increase sales or promoting brand name and product. Because no one actually want to give away his money just to share knowledge and information.

    But actually I have also seen that most of the user prefer to click on Organic results rather then paid results because most of them are user are there to gain information or search for free items, they actually know that paid results are only for products selling but not for informative. Thats why both are important SEO & SEM... you can't compare the importance between them

    Yes I am 100 % agree with you that SEM plays a crucial role in marketing the products or services through a website. SEM also increase the popularity or brand value of a business.

    Search engine marketing is good if you have enough budget to promote your business. From my experience, it becomes costly now. If you choose competitive keywords, then you have to bid higher than others.

    SEM stand for search engine marketing.its done by using some ppc network. Its helpful to do.adward is best site to do SEM. SEM is broader term than Seo. It is often used to describe act associated with researching,submitting and positioning a website within search engine.

    I don't know why people waste their money behind search engine marketing, little bit hard work has to do once you made it easily you can run your own campaign without depending on others. Ad words are the best tool for search engine marketing. It also known as Pay per click (PPC).

    Search engine marketing is a good option to drive web traffic on your website. However, it needs so experience to get the best results.I suggest you to do research on your keywords because they are really important. If you don't do any research and set up a campaign on your own, then you can lose your money.

    There is no doubt, SEM plays a vital role in digital marketing. But when we are going for SEM, we need to analyze our customer's data properly. For example, which area we should focus for which products and which search term is best for a product.

    Setting up a PPC program has to be done individually on each search engine, and gets only a fraction of the traffic that organic listings get. PPC is good for quick results, and for seasonal merchandise or services that are not available year-round. SEO does take more work, and can be a disaster if done wrong, but can bring a lot more of the right kind of traffic if done right.
    By the way, you claim that people "waste their money (on) search engine marketing", and then say that Adwords(note that it is one word, not two) is the best tool for search engine marketing. Did you not realize that Adwords is actually a form of search engine marketing?

    Yes, that line confused me too. Not sure if he meant that hiring others to do it for you is a waste? Small penny-ante campaigns may not require a PPC management company per se, but we've seen massive ecomm clients with display, Adwords, Bing, YouTube, LinkedIN, FB, re-targeting, and video ads all going at once. Chances are, the average entrepreneur is not going to be up on best practices for all those channels. Makes sense to hire sometimes.

    SEM stands for Search Engine Marketing. It is the techniques of getting traffic or visibility on search engine. It is a part of internet marketing.Pay per Click and Cost Per Click are part of Search engine marketing.
