    Hi guys,

Just a couple of questions about RSS.

    • Is there a way to measure how many people have signed up to use your site's feed?
    • How do you submit your feed to sites?
    • Do you have any examples of good sites to submit to?

Thanks, I have tried to find info through search but no definitive answers.

JPM are you using any third party feed service, or are you relying solely on the feed provided by your vBulletin software?

I used a fiver gig to have it submitted to over 100 feeds yesterday, which is a start!

However, I think the issue is I just don't fully understand how it works. Do I need to submit the feed to sites myself or will it be searcheable in Google, etc?

A sort of follow up question, does anyone use their feed in combination with Commentluv for SEO benefit? It was suggested to me, but I don't really see a big benefit to it.

You could use Feedburner to burn your RSS feed to your readers. They also have a feature wherein it shows how many people are subscribed on your RSS.
    www.feedburner.com

Like GekiDan, I would say Feedburner will be sufficient to present the data that you would like to see. I probably wouldn't submit the RSS to many sites as it can be timely with not much result, but maybe Technorati at the very least.
