Your kids have their reality about the kind of parent you are. Are you making sure it's a good one by using your time wisely?

I think MarcoAntonio is saying that you should use your time wisely by attending to your kids. When your kids growup and possibly thinking on their own, they'll know what kind of parent you are. Please correct me if I am wrong, MarcoAntonio.

What is your question in this? What are you trying to say?

I think being a parent, one should spend quality time with their kids, interacting with them, playing with them and most importantly listening to them.

Totally agree with that! The problem mostly here in the Philippines is that people wants to go to different countries aiming for a good job to have money so that their kids can have a good education, eat and live properly. Because they are away, they don't have much time to spent with their kids. I am a living example of that. My parents are both in Saudi to actually have a good pay to make us, their kids, have a good life and education. But the thing about this is they slip the moments like going to school with them, eating all together in the table after classes, etc.

Yes Filipinos have been moving to different places in search of jobs and better prospects over the years. I was surprised to read that out side of Philippines, Hawaii has become another place where Filipinos are in majority!

What I do is - WEEKDAYS are only for work, and WEEKEENDS are for the family and KIDS, no work at all. That is how I spend my time wisely with my family. Of course, I take a day off as well and enjoy a whole day with my family - even a single picnic would mean a lot to my kids and fulfills the whole week that I am focused on work.
