    Hi everyone,

We run a small security company in Leicester. Most of our work so far has come from word of mouth referrals and tendering for larger contracts. We want to look more at smaller residential jobs so that we have a constant stream of work. What are peoples opinions of using local printed advertising. does it work? what have people found the best types of magazines or papers to advertise with?

I'm not sure if this what you're thinking about, but my husband does a lot of newspaper advertising. That is because, for what he does, there is still a large number of people who don't look online for everything. Put they read the paper and check out the classifieds. He's also looking at putting an ad in the yellow pages, as he works a lot with elderly people and that's where they go to find things.

Yeah, i think printed ads still has the power to communite with people particularly your target market. But why not launch offline and online campaign simultaneously? This will surely shoot up your popularity and increase your sales potential. :)
