Hello everyone, can anyone please share their thoughts on the following:

    1. If your website is ranking (not necessarily on page 1) , does it follow also with the page rank? Page rank should also increase?

    2. Or if you have greater number of backlinks, then the page rank should also increase?

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

    1. Having a good ranking does not really mean that your "webpages'" PR will increase. PR only increase depending on the number of inbound links to your website and the quality of them. Though there are some cases that websites having a good ranking get higher PR because of the natural link backs (not the case for all website. It all depends on whether or not your website is worth sharing).

    2. If you have greater number of links, then there's a possibility that your PR should increase. I repeat what I said, there is a possibility. Not all the time. Because Google determines the value of each link pointing to your site. So having a large number of links will not give you the assurance of getting a good PR. It will always depend on the quality.

Its good to know that the PR secret is within the number of inbound links to your site. However as an addition to the former post. PR will vary depending on the count of inbound links that are related with your niche and if its source is from those high quality sites pr those with PR also.

1)Your ranking can improve even though your page ranking is poor. If you have a Pagerank then it is quite a big advantage to rank you keywords.
    2)Yup!! Statement no. 2 is 100% correct.

    Thank you.

Google has 200++ metrics, PR just play a minority influence on SERP.

This is not true, only relevant will take count. I saw lot of site drop PR, but backlink still remain the same. try visit those site who sell PR, then you will notice why their PR only score 3-4, instead 5-7.

Page rank is depend on backlink and traffic. Back links are Links pointing to your website from another website. The more back links you have the higher your PR. Update your website every day by adding more unique content. Provide inside linking to your website. Social media optimize is another important part of increasing page rank.

PageRank does not correlate that strongly to search engine results placement, just because you have a high PageRank it doesn’t automatically guarantee you a high placement on Google.

There many factors that Search Engines see when they give rank to particular keywords. We cannot say that the keyword is just ranking because of backlinks or page rank.

Great Point..... PR is relatively a small part of a much big picture in relation to SEO. I know many websites that rank well over their competition when their competition has a high PR. I think we would all agree we would rather have a high ranking in the search engines than to have a higher PR. Keep adding good content that involves your readers and backlink, then be patience and you'll start to see PR increase.
