    What is personal growth?

Every day we hear people talk about personal growth, what is it?
I found out this definition by one of my mentors..

It is the process of responding positively to a change. This involves risk as you step out from the known or comfort zone to the unknown. It further goes on to say,all your growth will depend on your activity. Your strength and growth will come only through continuous efforts and struggle. There will be no growth without putting in efforts.

So as individual members, how can we define personal growth and personal development?.. is there any form of measuring your growth or not?

    Any contribution please?

    Thank you

Very interesting question. I'm a strong believer in the view that you have to be able to measure something before you can manage it and this is difficult when it comes to the area of personal development.

Perhaps it can be viewed in terms of something like happiness. It might be difficult to measure happiness, but generally we know whether or not we are happy.

Another approach might be to use some external measure. E.g. one of your personal development goals could be to learn a new skill before Christmas, then you could target yourself based on passing an exam on the topic before Christmas.

What are your own views on the topic?

It’s a nice post to know the information. It helps people to some views of other people. Personal growth can be measured in physical, mental, psychological, spiritual, and emotional amplitude. We can achieve personal growth through enthusiastic introspection and an acceptance for change that it can begin.

    hi Terrence,
welcome to the forum and thanks for the contribution!
This is a very trick question. other people measure thier personal growth when they are successful in what they are doing or what they have achieved in life.

Keep on the moving and you will finally succeed!
