Do you believe in Outbound:Inbound links ratio? There a lot of companies that suggest you check this average.
I personally i believe this is stupid because a majority of this companies suggest strange algorithms and also most of them in the OBL(OutBound Links) don't count the ones that are no-follow(mmm...) and the ones to quality sites(e.g. amazon - double-mmmm...).

Anyway, let's discuss it. Do you pay such attention? If yes you use an algorithm too?

I do. It helps as well in tracking what links are going out from your website and what are those that are incoming to your website.

OBL vs IBL, as long as it is relevant linking, I am not worry about that.

Well, it can be worrying sometimes - say you have too much IBL, yet too low OBL .. Having a very low OBL may mean you have a small number of pages total - or you are hoarding your links.
Either way, it is not yet something to be scared off at all but at least know how to utilize your backlinks as well.

How can we check this ratio of IBL & OBL? Is there any tool available?

I'm sure there's lots more to it than a ratio. In fact, a ratio to me doesn't make much sense.

I don't think the ratio between OBL and IBL is significant. I would never try to create more OBL's with no purpose other than to meet some theoretical ratio.

Yes, I check them but just because of knowledge which link is comminf from the other site and which is going from my site. This is the good way to analysis site links and their quality.

BAF score good ranking in major forum, the number of OBL is higher than IBL. Each BAF forum thread easily generate more than 40 OBL but the number of IBL is very little. Why BAF still get good ranking?
