I'd welcome your opinions on BannerSlam.com and any suggestions you have to improve it.
A styled design may help... it would make things look better.
There is no actual design work involved in this site from what I can see.
Thanks confused, I asked for "Opinions and suggestions to improve BannerSlam.com". Do you have any to offer?
I would add a banner submission form. It should ask at least for the image url, website url and alternate text. You can also ask for a name and an email address.
Thanks for the helpful suggestion Constantin. I will add a submission form in the future.
Fergal, I think it would be helpful if you specified the dimensions of the banners that you wanted.
Although confused's post could have been more helpful s/he has a point. Other than the name, a couple of internal links, and a few very tiny banners, there is nothing there. Content should be added to explain what the site is, what it is for, why BannerSlam is better than competitors (if it is), etc. In short, give visitors a reason to visit, and advertisers a reason to post their banners. At some time in the future, if and when you get sufficient banners, you might want to consider separating the banners into categories, and adding a search function so visitors can go to the banners they want. From what I see, however, that suggestion is for the (very) distant future.
As I mentioned above, the banners are very tiny. Was there a reason why this size was chosen? A 468 x 60 banner, or 728 x 90, would be easier to read and more likely to get clicked on. Advertisers want there banners to be clicked, so they gain more clients, members or customers, depending on what they are advertising.
A well written content can also help with SEO. I have noticed that a meta description is missing, as well.
Thanks everyone for your valued suggestions and feedback. I will be re-visiting the site soon and will implement your suggestions then.
I don't think it's too late to review BannerSlam. The domain is good to go for advertising business. The page needs some design; a good logo, layouts / placing ads on tables. Also, the ads size can be increased. They look small to me. The page looks too simple.
Thanks for the feedback devilbatista, I appreciate it. I plan on making some changes to the site in the future and will take your suggestions on board.

You definitely would benefit from redesigning your website, it isn't very eye catching
-Add a custom header
-Change the website theme/design
-Add color, white is too blah
I would add description of your site under the Banner Slam .com.
earn yourself a high page rank then sell adding links on fiver
I think that the site is a good idea but it does need a logo,
May be adding a simple logo/banner creation tool to the site may help people add banners (not everyone is good at graphics),
Or even a resize tool so that people can resize their existing banners to suit your banner sizes that you have displayed.
The banners are quite very small and there is a simple navigation under the title,
I think that you could do with a little more of a description as to what the site is to help to get people to add banners to the site.
There is no theme maybe the possibility of a theme may make the site look a little more appealing so people may want to add their banners to the site as it looks to me at the moment it is very plain.
I do think this will be a very good concept once it has had a facelift
Good luck with it Fergal
