I have a query that will Google consider nofollow links are back links when back link update is done. If yes they why ? and if no then why?

Nofollow links are good to have in my opinion as i dont think it looks natural to google to only have dofollow

Nofollow links are not considered as backlinks. Google will overlook such links. Just as matt76 said, its a good practice to have a balance of both types of links.

I'm sure that no follow links have some value with Google. Of course, they are not so valuable as do follow ones but still you have to have a certain ratio of do follow and no follow links. At least it won't look suspicious.

Matt Cutts has confirmed quite recently that they do in fact give some weight to no-follow links. If you have a look at the video from Matt Cutts in this post you will hear him talk about how they give value to links from social networking sites, such as Twitter, which are no-follow.

What's your confusion Jessyjohns, do you have a specific question regarding no-follow links? You can read a summary of what no-follow links are here on WikiPedia.

Please do let us know if that link does not have the info you need or if you have any questions.

Dont too concern on whether the link are dofollow or nofollow, as long as the backlink from quality site, it definitely help your website. The major different between dofollow and nofollow is about the PR juice, dofollow link pass PR juice which will help onn improve your website's PR but nofollow never help on PR

A backlink is still a backlink even though it is nofollow.
Besides, Google will definitely raise a red flag if you only have dofollow links....

Which element of it isn't clear?

The basic stance is, don't worry about it. If a link is going to be valuable, in terms of generating targeted referral traffic or sending positive signals to the search engines, it will be regardless of whether it is no-follow or do-follow. No-followed links don't pass on the same link equity (PageRank), but they do still send positive signals to the search engines and are of value from an SEO point of view. It's really something you shouldn't spend too much time thinking about or worrying about (unless you have a very unnatural link profile of 0% or 100% no-followed links, then maybe it's worth a thought).

Google considers no follow links as back links. No follow links are not beneficial in rankings but in terms of getting PR no follow links have the same value as follow links.

Utterly incorrect. It's pretty much the opposite of the actual case.

PR won't flow through a no-followed link, but they can have an impact on other elements of the algorithm thus helping rankings.

Yes no follow links does help in ranking. If you are a reader of SEO moz then you must have seen Rand's recent research about different factors in ranking. I think it is titled as Correlation Vs Causation. Read that and you will have clear idea about no-follow too. Google counts them and a balance of both no-follow and do-follow links help site more.
